When I started working from home I made it a rule that every day I must get fully dressed. The rule is if someone comes knocking on the door I don’t have to run to put on a bra and change out of my pajama pants. I want to look presentable because I feel that it motivates me to sit at my desk and get things done.

But don’t get me wrong. I do believe in “casual Friday” here at Jelly Design Studio, which basically means I wear yoga pants that day. :)

I have noticed that my wardrobe has really simplified itself a lot these days. My daily go to outfit for work, coffee meetings with friends, and afternoon outings to the parks consists of a black v-neck tee, skinny jeans, and my combat boots.

With summer quickly approaching here in Central FL I will probably be swapping out the boots for a pair of sandals or flats. But don’t be surprised if you catch me still wearing the boots – they are just too comfy for me to leave at home. And they seriously makes me feel like a badass. Just saying. ;)

  1. I LOVE these boots! I’ve been hunting for a pair of lace-ups for the longest time, but I have gigantic calves and nothing ever fits them. Boo. My style is very similar to yours – very simple. That’s the way I like it!

    • Thanks Ashley! I recommend looking into the Target boots. Feel like its roomy. You should do a few style post to share your style! Would love to see it. :)

  2. wait, how did I miss this? Either way, you remind me of Katniss or Tris in your boots :) Also, I will probably check out that brand of jeans at Antho. I know I never wear them, but I need a quality dark pair of skinnies. Good to invest.
