My Insta Weekend: 03.04.13

Winding down after a busy and fun weekend with a little treat.

This weekend we were non-stop, which just makes me wish Monday were a day off meant for recuperating from the hectic weekend.

I don’t know about you guys, but the best motivation to clean up your home is knowing that you will have guests in town. On Friday I got down with my cleaning products and tidied up the place. Cleaning this house made me realize that I never ever want a house bigger than this. This place took me all of Friday afternoon to clean up. It was intense. But after that I treated myself to a good prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich. So it’s sort of a win.

My parents-grandparents-and-sister-in-law came to visit for the weekend. It’s always nice having the Hubby’s family in town. I know he misses them so it’s good to share some time together. Obviously there was a lot of food happening. And with the chilly weather we made sure to have everything for a nice night of hot cocoa. Hubby made the cocoa and I made the donuts, which I will be blogging about soon.

I got a few early birthday gifts from the in-laws and loved the nail polish my sister-in-law got me. I couldn’t wait and had to paint my nails that same day. It involved gray polish with sparkly top coat. Loving it!

On Sunday our guests left and we got to enjoy some downtime and I convinced the Hubby to watching Breaking Dawn Part II with me. Actually, it didn’t take much convincing. He is sort of a fan, but mainly because I constantly talk about the books/movies.
