This past Saturday the Honey and I went for a mini trip to Mt. Dora. It’s about an hour away from us and always a great place to visit. I love the old time feel that the entire town has. Plus, so many amazing vintage shops. They even have a used book store! Swoon!
The first time I went to Mt. Dora was for a blogger’s brunch hosted by Melissa from Truly Chic Inspirations and we ate at The Garden Gate Tea Room. I quickly fell in love with the place.
When we visited this weekend I knew I had to pass by there again for lunch.
This little tea room is magical! The decor is all shabby chic and makes me want to move to a little cottage in the country and decorate everything in different tones of white and ivory.
Besides the place looking like a dream, the food is amazing! I had a blackened chicken salad and the Honey had a chicken pot pie. We were both so pleased with our meal. And desserts were just as amazing!
I can’t wait for our next trip back to Mt. Dora for some more vintage shopping and a nice meal at The Garden Gate Tea Room.
If you are ever in the area I highly suggest stopping by for a bite! You won’t regret it. ;)
