Back home and celebrating our anniversary.
This past Thursday the Honey and I hit the road for a mini vacation to celebrate our 3-year wedding anniversary! I still cannot believe that it’s been 3 years since the day we got all dressed up and headed to the courthouse in NYC. It was such an amazing day and that memory will always be my favorite. :)
After hearing great things about Captiva Island, FL we decided to spend a few days there. It was really nice to get away for a while and spend some time relaxing by the beach, trying out new restaurants, and just spending time together. The only issue with this location was that everything closes by 7 PM! It was a little odd for us because we enjoy going out a little later for dinner, but apparently this is common on an island. The guy at the front desk called it “Island Time”.
Besides that tiny issue, we had such a great time and created some fun memories!
We made it back home on the day of our anniversary and then enjoyed another day of relaxation. We went to Epcot to celebrate and ate a delicious lunch. Then we just spent some time together. It was everything I wanted. :)
It’s just been 3 years of marriage and so many wonderful things have happened – I am excited for the many years to come! I am truly blessed to be married to such a supportive, kind, and wonderful man. Love you Nick! (Sorry for the cheesy moment!)
Now with vacation over I need to get back to it! Any tips on how to get back to the daily routine of things?
