This Monday morning I am a little saddened that the weekend just flew right by me. My best friend and her hubby came to visit for the weekend and it was full of laughter, shopping, food, card games, mini golf, nail polish, and some wine.
They arrived Friday night and I was thrilled to see her again. We went to the local tavern for a drink and had some fun watching those brave enough to participate in karaoke. I hope to one day have what it takes to do a little karaoke. Haha!
We also set aside some girl time at the mall. I love shopping together because we always help each other try something new.
Unfortunately we did have some issues at home with our plumbing. We live in an apartment with one bathroom but the rental company informed us they couldn’t get a plumber out till the following morning. I was a bit livid – because plumbing is an important situation in any household, especially when you only have one bathroom. You aren’t left with many options.
But we made the best out of it and checked into our favorite hotel in the area for the night. It was a little unplanned staycation. We obviously ordered room service and played the longest game of Uno. Good times. :)
This taught me that sometimes things don’t go as planned but you just have to go with it. If you let a situation get to you then you will just ruin that moment. Go with it!
