This weekend the Honey and I hit the road and headed down south to Miami for the weekend. We went to celebrate my Mother-in-law’s birthday and spend some time with our family and friends.
It was a non-stop weekend of eating, seeing loved ones, and even a little shopping was done.
The hard part is leaving and saying bye – especially when it comes to saying bye to my Dad. We are so close and it’s always a little tough on both of us. We try to act like it’s no big deal and he has been so supportive since we moved – but I know deep down inside we are both sad that we won’t see each other for a few months.
Whoa, think this got a little too emotional for a Monday morning. Moving on…
On an entirely different subject – I think I finally found my dream jeans. I am still breaking them in and hoping it was money well spent. I had to try on about 10 different pairs (and probably annoy a very sweet and patient shop employee) to find the one that fit just right! This got me so excited! Jeans are my go-to clothing item so a good pair is important.
What fun did you have this weekend? Any of you spent time hanging by the pool to beat this heat?

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Perfect filled with family, eating, friends, and shopping. What more could someone ask for? And – in Miami!?!?! That’s just awesome.
I went to AG Jeans. It was a bit of a splurge for me but I can tell these jeans will last me a while. :)
Saying bye to family is hard, but it sounds like a great weekend. Love the fortunes!
