Let me honest for a minute – I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed. My new job has been challenging and when I get home I get straight to work on some web projects for Jelly Design Studio. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining. I know I am extremely blessed.
I am enjoying my new job and my co-workers are really nice. And the fact that I have some web projects happening with some very talented people makes me feel so excited and eager.
My issue is that I feel like I am in a pool of to-do lists, post-it notes, emails, and calendars that never stop. Tomorrow I plan to bake when I get home. Baking is always a great outlet for me and helps me relax. I know everything will work out and I shouldn’t stress things as much as I do and I promise to try to keep it together.
How do you keep calm? I really need your secrets. :)

Amen, lady! I work a full-time job and two part-time gigs, so I totally understand the mountain of lists/calendars/etc. I highly recommend meditation, even just for a few minutes at a time. Yes, sometimes even when the only place you can get privacy is a bathroom stall at work. :)
At night, I listen to Zoe Keating (I heart cellos!) and close my eyes for a while. I focus on my breath – imagining each deep, slow breath filling my belly and the back of my rib cage. It may sound all hippy-silly, but it really helps me calm down when I’m having a crazy day.
