The Cookie Challenge // Week 1: Classic Sugar Cookies

As I mentioned earlier this week, I decided to do a 52 Week challenge. I see that many bloggers take up this challenge and I began to think – what could I do that would be a bit tricky for me.

When it comes to baking – cookies have kind of been an enemy of mine. I never made a good cookie, it’s always overcooked or undercooked. So with this challenge I hope to become a cookie expert (or at least be able to manage baking cookies that aren’t burnt).

I started my 2012 Cookie Challenge with the easy classic sugar cookie and it was a success (high-five for me!)! The dough was super easy to make and the final product was delicious. I tried rolling out the dough so I could use a cookie cutter but the dough wasn’t cooperating with me. So I went with the old fashion style and just used my hands.

Hope you all enjoy my journey with cookies.

  1. I think I don’t make more cookies is because they’re easy to sneak before I get them out of the apartment. One easily turns into two or three or ten. And next thing you know, I’m all sugary crazy. But I’d like to try making more cookies now and then.
