Warning: This post might make you hungry.
So as promised – here is Part 2 of my food review from The World Showcase at Epcot (If you missed Part 1 you can read it here). Just looking back at all the pictures makes me want to head on over to Epcot to enjoy some more delicious food.
Stop #4: America
I was a little disappointed how American mainly offers hot dogs, chili dogs, hamburgers and funnel cakes. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of this. Just felt that there is more to offer than these dishes. Maybe that’s how the French or English feel about the way Epcot represents them? So we decided to keep it simple in America – I got a frozen lemonade which was perfect to cool me down from all the heat. The Hubs tasted his first Samuel Adams, he wasn’t crazy about, but then again he isn’t much of a beer love either. We ended up sharing the lemonade. :)
Stop #5: Germany
I always love the decor in Germany. The little cottage there makes me think of Snow White and her little dwarfs. So after walking around and taking in the scenery we stopped by their little snack bar and ordered a bratwurst with sauerkraut and a roll. It was real good.
Stop #6: Norway
Norway was all about sweets (at least in my mind). Before I walked in I already knew what I wanted: A cream puff pastry with a mix of berries. Mouthwatering deliciousness! I need to learn how to make this.
Stop #7: Mexico
Another favorite of mine. We started by ordering frozen strawberry margaritas. We weren’t planning on eating anything else but when drinking frozen margaritas a side of loaded nachos is a must (at least in our book). So we ordered nachos that were loaded with ground beef, sour cream, cheese, beans, and of course…jalapeños!
After our final stop we were done with food. It was so much food but totally worth it. We experienced new flavors and combinations that we never thought we would like. I was actually planning on removing the brie cheese on my sandwich until I took a bite and realized how amazing it was.
So make sure to always enjoy the simply pleasures of food. :)
