I have a thing for bright doors – I think it has to do with the wonderful contrast between the home and the door. Whenever I see a picture I lose myself in daydreams of what is hiding behind that beautiful door.
I sometimes like to dream that a behind a colorful door you will find a warm and welcoming home that loves when an unexpected guest arrives. They treat their guest graciously and always offer to make some mint tea. Cucumber sandwiches will always be available and the conversation will be great.
I one day hope to have a home where I can paint the door a lovely bright color. I might go with green – or maybe a purple.

Elissa took the words out of my mouth. I was instantly transported back to Ireland too. I think there’s no better way to celebrate one’s home than to paint your front door. It’s so fantastically welcoming.
