Times Square + Some Newlyweds

On August 2009 – The Hubby and I went to NYC for a week to get married at the courthouse. It was a wonderful experience – we stayed at “Stay” near Times Square. On the day of our wedding we woke up early that morning, dressed up with our wedding outfits, and made our way down to the courthouse. Our “photographer” (very nice guy hanging outside of the courthouse who does this for a living) was our witness. I was also a witness for another wedding of the cutest old folks I had ever seen! Their witness forgot her ID and couldn’t sign – so I did!

Later that day (and after changing from our snazzy attire) we went on the hunt for some lunch. While walking down the street two people with mics and a camera stopped and asked if we wanted to be on TV. I would normally run and hide but we were just married…so I said “Sure, why not!”

So that’s us on the very day we got married. It was an interesting experience. A little mind boggling because the host talking to me did not understand the unwritten rules regarding personal space and he was just all up in it. Not cool TV host guy – but that’s fine. At least we have this funny video now. Oh, and just a little warning – I am a bit of a dork – so please don’t judge me and my odd camera behavior!

xo,

Meli

P.S. – It was the best day ever!

P.P.S – Yes The Bestie and I would destroy those doughnuts and have girl talk in the car at 2 am. :)

P.P.P.S – My voice really sounds like that?? Ick.
