I saw Jane Russell for the first time in “Gentlemen Prefer Blonds” – and I fell in love with her! Marilyn Monroe also starred in this movie but my brunette pride had me swooning over the lovely Jane.
She was a very controversial star (and singer) and that makes me love her even more! Not only did she have killer looks – she had smarts! She was the founder of the World Adoption International Fund (WAIF). This was a group that would help facilitate the adoption of foreign children.
I definitely need to add “The Outlaw” to my netflix queue – it was the movie where she made her motion picture debut.
